By interdisciplinarity we mean cross-disciplinary work. We describe the work without any professional boundaries and the involvement of practice and the public as transdisciplinary. If we work on the same topic with several subjects, but independently of each other, we see the work as multidisciplinary. If we move within a subject in science, concrete research and practice, then we call it intradisciplinary. Trans- and interdisciplinarity are clear strengths of our specialist society.
